  • Field Complex Address: 12525 Sportport Road Maryland Heights (St. Louis), MO 63043

The Blue Lion will be well represented at the Midwest Cup as we'll have Varsity, JV, U15, and U13 teams playing for a chance at the TOC Cup.

The Blue Lion will return to the home of the Brewtown Showdown where two of three teams played for the tournament championship at their respective levels, coming in 2nd in both contests.  We will have the U13, U15, and JV teams (numbers permitting) representing the Blue Lion in Milwaukee.

Dallas Lacrosse Lone Star Shootout

  • Tournament Location: High Point Park, Plano TX (North Dallas)

This tournament is in closer proximity to Kansas City than Houston and would be a great way to wind down the 2010 tournament season.

Age Requirements and Eligibility

We will be fielding two teams for the Summer 2010 Tournament Blue Lion schedule at the Middle School and Youth level.  If there are enough boys to field another competitive squad at either level we will do so, but the second team will need to be at the same level as the primary squad or pretty close.

To be eligible for the 5th-6th grade team, your son cannot have turned 13 prior to January 1, 2010 to meet the U13 tournament team age requirements.  To be eligible for the 7th-8th grade team, your son cannot have turned 15 prior to January 1, 2010 to meet the U15 tournament team age requirements.

JV Eligibility is determined by ability and will be determined after the tryout whether or not an athlete can be moved up to the Varsity level (invitation only).  To be eligible for the JV level, the athlete must have completed his Freshman year of High School, or 9th Grade depending on School and District.

Team Composition and Expectations

hshot.jpgEach team will comprise of 22 boys with 3 alternates.  In the event that an athlete cannot make a tournament, we would expect that one of the alternates could take his place.  All athletes, including alternates, are expected to attend as much of the practice schedule as possible.

If an athlete is selected to play for the Blue Lion, we would expect that he would be able to attend both events, not one or the other.  We are trying to avoid any situation where one team would be attending a scheduled tournament and another could not because there are not enough athletes.  Furthermore, we would not want to preclude any athlete from playing for the Blue Lion based solely on another athlete's ability to play, but lack of ability to attend tournaments.

In other words, please carefully consider accepting an invitation to playfor the Blue Lion if it is not possible for you to attend the scheduled tournaments.  If you have any other questions, please fill out this form and your inquiry will be sent to the Blue Lion Coaching and Administrative Staff.
